Crystal springs was absolutely amazing to work with for my wedding flowers. Shaya was absolutely wonderful to work with. She responded to emails right away and updated the flower plan consistently with exactly what we wanted. We received many compliments about our wedding flowers and I loved working wi crystal springs! Highly recommend!!!
Fact of the matter is, they have every right to decline working with someone they feel they will not get along with. That is not the problem I have. The TRUTH is that Shaya was anything but easy to get information from, was not professional in any way with how she handled the situation and should be able to take criticism when a customer calls you frustrated about not getting information they requested on several occasions and not getting their email right! My mom said she was nothing but friendly and they ended the conversation on the note that she would get her the information she needed. And she never did. I have nothing wrong with the company itself since I never even got far enough to see what they offer, but Shaya as the wedding coordinator is the one issue I️ do have and has been the WORST experience I’ve had thus far Wedding planning. I’m glad we found an amazing florist who got us information the DAY I emailed them. That is the service customers deserve.
The reason for me writing this review is for any future brides to not have to waste their time while they are in the process of looking for wedding vendors like myself. I don’t normally feel the need to write reviews but in this instance people need to be aware of how the wedding coordinator here does business. I live out of state so my mom and I both decided to email them about prices for flowers for my wedding and what time we could meet to discuss details.
My mom originally was the one that emailed them and came to me and said how hard it was to get in contact with them. They did however finally write back saying that it was the busy season. But right away my mom started to feel like Shaya wasn’t taking our business seriously. We hadn’t even made the first step and she wasn’t prompt on getting us information. My mom had to call them on two separate occasions. The wedding coordinator's name is Shaya. I had been emailing her separately as well. It was over a month later and she still hadn’t gotten us the essential information and my mom let her know that. My mom said she again, was not apologetic for the delay or that she had gotten my moms email wrong on two separate occasions. They ended the conversation on the note that she would finally email her the info. Again, no email. With all of that transpiring most people would tell us that we should have taken our business elsewhere. However, I took in consideration it was their busy season. Fast forward a month and I️ finally planned a day my mom could meet Shaya and go over the wedding details.
The team at Crystal Springs provided flowers for our July wedding this year. We were so happy with how everything turned out – it was just how we pictured it! We got quotes from several other florists, but none were as upfront about all their costs as Crystal Springs. They were also wonderful about working to come up with options that fit within our budget. The staff arrived right on time and had everything set up and ready to go on our wedding day. We would 100% recommend them for other couples getting married in the area!
The same day we confirmed, I get an email from Shaya that also had a forwarded email attached and my mom in the email as well saying this and this only: “Thank you for contacting about us servicing your daughter's wedding. But we will not be able to service her wedding.” That was it. I called and directly talked to Shaya. Once I explained who I was, she was immediately rude. I’ve never spoken to her over the phone before. She said that my mom was rude to her over the phone so they decided they won’t be servicing our wedding. Me, being the bride was quite confused because I got an entirely different story from my mom, who I obviously trust more than this lady who was abrasive, curt and rude to me when I did absolutely nothing wrong.
The team at Crystal Springs are amazing. So welcoming, and vastly knowledgeable. The greenhouse is by FAR one of the best selections and size options. The gift shop surpasses any in the area. Unique gifts beautiful plants. A true treasure in Berrien County. Even their web presence is easy to use and offers great choices of flowers. I would like to recommend that a few gift shop items be available on the website as well.... pitcher, ornaments, plaques, candles, etc.
I found this florist shop online. At the last minute I decided to order two carnation leis for our president who is retiring today. They were able to do it within hours and they came out so beautifully. I definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for quality service and flowers!
